As I stood on the quay waiting for the owner to operate the hydraulic gangway for me to get aboard, I thought this Astinor was brand new! "Shoes off please". All that was missing for me was a pair of white gloves for Captains inspection. 5 years old, but every locker I opened I could smell the freshness of a new boat. It was the same with all the cabins and heads. She is a well cared for and much loved family owned Astinor, in pristine condition. Constructed with safety in mind. See photos; sidedeck & bow.
The sun reflecting on the teak cockpit deck was dazzling. "Would you like to go out for a run in her?" The owner fired the engines up. I felt a vibration, but could hardly hear her engines- "twin screw sewing machines". At 20 knots she purred like a kitten, in a moderate sea, heading into a slight swell. We were up on the spacious flybridge, watching dolphins cutting across our bows. We came back with the sea on the beam. I went below to get a bottle of water from the fridge. She was as steady as a rock. I then had the privlege of bringing her into the marina and onto the mooring stern first. The wind was on the beam. A pleasure to handle. All fast and back ashore.
Photos don´t do her justice- seeing is believing! Spanish flagged.
